Hey! Pissoff, er April, Thanks for visiting!

I usually like to take Thumper's mom's(Bambi) approach to commenting "If you don't have something nice to say, then don't say anything at all." That is unless you are so moved that you can't keep quiet. Even then pick your words carefully. :-) I truly believe that if you have difference in opinions, the way you word your opinion can either make other's say "Ah, I see your point." or "You're just a jerk!" Hopefully, I'm in the first category. I try to, but I don't always succeed. :-i

Hey there,

when was that then? did they do that here?

I've never had anyone do that to me, and lets face it, I've been really asking for it...

I know Tina has had it loads.

Erm... can I ask something more about the D&D... do you ever dress up before ... y'know... with the hubby as the dwarf barbarian and that...

Sorry if that's a really naff question, but you know EVERYBODY was wondering the same thing.

Oh Herge, how you make this old (36) married lady giggle!!!! I think I'm blushing too! Dave says that if I get him a loin cloth that he'll wear it and stand on his knees (He's 6 ft 2 or 3 in). lol! No we don't dress up, but I have thought about it on occasion. Dave and I performers by training, both in Choirs and me as an actor. The group we play with is comprised of 4 couples, a single who used to be part of a couple, and our collective kids. So dressing up isn't really practical.

I'd like to go to the Texas Rennaisance Festival in Character garb though. I think it would be a blast. Either as the Rogue, or even better as a Lady. I've got a really nice decolete area and look really good in those Rennaisance-ish dresses. They make me look like a different person.

As far as the blog blaster, it was on Sniffy's blog. It just caught me the wrong way. I figure, if your going to be bold enough to leave a rude remark, you'd better own up to it.

btw: Just who is "EVERYBODY"? I'm suprised I generated any conversation. :-)

Well, you should do the dressing up and then report back...

As for the 'Texas Rennaisance Festival' what on earth is that all about?

As for everybody, I mean everyone who read about the d&d...

Wow. Yeah, I think I'll find a pattern or two and see if one of my sewing friends will make 'em for Dave & I. Then I can post them up on the blog. Ew, scary thought!

Texas Ren Fest is held in a small town about 2 hours northwest of Houston. It is held from September to November. There is jousting, stocks, a maypole, beergarten, giant turkey legs, scotch eggs (my favorite!), gardens, a giant swing, wenches, lots of chain mail, oh just more and more! I'll put a link on the blog. It's really bunches of fun! The people who make the wares and work the booths all dress up and REn speak the wholw time. It's like being back in Jolly Old England around the time of Henry VIII.

So, I take it that I suprised y'all. :-) Good, my job is done. hehehehe. :-)

Yeah, some people are complete bastards! I do tend to ignore the idiots on my blog, but they sometimes provide quite a bit of entertainment when they don't go away. No offence, but we had some fundamentalist catholic lad giving me heaps of grief about homosexuality once and he would not go away - brought his mates in too. The little bugger.

None taken. The way I look at it is that it's not my job to judge. And really, God hates the "sin", but LOVES the sinner. So pretty much, we're covered. :-)

Oh wow, you have scotch eggs in Texas!! No way! I love scotch eggs...

Hmm, one of my fondest memories as a child was having a scotch egg on friday late afternoon, after school watching Sherlock Holmes with Basil Rathbbone on the TV. Hmm... sweet memories.

And tasty treats!!! Dave & I have made them here at home once or twice. Of course anything that Dave cooks turns out perfect. He's got a knack for the cullinary arts. We also had them at an Irish pub here in town served with a plum jam. Yummy! Unfortunately, the pub closed down. Pitty really, it was a fun place. There are lots of English style pubs in Houston, but they aren't quite as charming as the Claddaugh. Too many TV's.
