UGH!!!
I just got "roped" into helping clean Owen's room with Dave. It's a GIANT mess. Four years of toys! HELP!!!!!! See you in two weeks! Nah, probably later tonight. We have to put the bed back in so the boy can sleep. :-)

"We have to put the bed back in.." Ha ha, now that's funny. Last week we made the kids clean their messy, messy room but the weird thing was that the toy box was already full!!! And then the 5 yr old said she needed a second toy box to put her toys in.
I'm not a toy person, these are mainly gifts from other people. In fact, we went to a picnic today and the hostess gave all the kids ty beanie babies. Usually at McD's I give the toys BACK to the cashier. The kids don't even mind.
Last week I also had my first incident stepping on a small lego. Since I had failed to buy my son legos for Christmas ever, he used his money to buy them. *sigh*
Same here. We rarely have the money to buy toys. Hopefully now that we have a couple shelves up in his room, that will help.
Hey Guys!
Yep, we found our way out of the room. There's even a path from the bed to the door now. Just joking. It's much better now that Dave put up some shelves on the wall. I love IKEA! The main thing is to go through all those stupid little meal toys from Whataburger. I've been just chunking some of them. Then there's the whole thing of his "baby" toys. I want to put them away in the attic, but need to go through everything first.
Yes Jean, the room was a "complete" disaster when we first started. The hall was full of Owen's laundry and bedding and bed. It was insanity! It's much better now. Just need to get the laundry going... :-P'''' (dripping with Sarcasm and a sickly sweet smile...) "It's my most FAVORITE thing to do, you know." ergh... Oh well, better get back to the slave pit. lots of bricks to be made, "Hey! You don't have to swing that whip over here buddy!" I know. I'm weird.
We considered getting rid of the kids' beds for a while and going with futons that they could -theoretically- roll up in the morning and have a nice clean floor for the day. This would have saved us a lot of room and allowed us to put a desk, their books, and some of the arts and crafs stuff in their room. However, I doubt they would have had a place ever to sleep without shoving toys over everyday.
Curse those happy meal toys!!!!
"Curse those happy meal toys!!!!" That is for sure!
We have a futon in our office. It works quite well for our office/guest room. Of course, if, no when, God grants us with another baby, the office will be no more and the guests will have to sleep on the couch. Good thing it's nice and comfy. :-)
Oh yeah! Ikea Rocks!!!
