Hurricane Rita

Well, We may have to evacuate due to Hurricane Rita. We are going to see how tommorow goes & find out where she is headed. We most likely will head to Killeen/Ft. Hood where David has family. His aunt called us this afternoon inviting us up to stay with her. So if you don't hear from me for a few days, fret not. We love you all!!! m,d,&o.

We've decided that we'll probably stay. It's hard to judge the intensity of the storm and decide to move or not. We'll probably move out of the way if it's a 5....maybe not... dunno

Thanks to you all for the well wishes. We are in the process of packing, although I haven't even started packing clothes yet, just papers, pictures computers, etc... We are taking Dave's scooter to his brother's house tonite where it should be safe. Hopefully, we'll get back to normal, barring anything being damaged, around monday. Love to you all! m.

I haven't heard from Michelle or David all day long but I bet they've made it there. They probably went out of town via 290 or maybe even 10. I sure hope they went up Hwy 6 towards Killeen instead of trying for two-laned 36 all the way there.

I see on the news that Houston seems generally OK. Hope you're safe and well and that your home hasn't suffered too much damage.

Michelle's area of Houston was on the dry side. My family lives nearby and they didn't lose phone service or electricity. :)

Maybe she'll drop by and visit my on the way back.
