Good Grief...

Lordy, it has been forever since I have posted. This week has been crazy. We've been helping the hubby's mom pack up and go through 40 some years of accumulated stuff. Some of which gets to come live with us. :-)

We started having the coaches meetings for soccer and this week I went to the doc for my ear. It's still not cleared up and having to be on antibiotics is driving me crazy, not to mention the expense. He's rather concerned because I am on pretty strong meds and I don't seem to be getting any better.

I went on an interview this week. I found out that the school that I used to work for had a position open for a pre-school teachers assistant. They liked me, but I was not quite right for what they needed. That's ok, because I had the opportunity to meet the new principle and hang with one of my favourite people for a few hours. It was a great morning and I discovered that I really miss being in the classroom. We shall see what God has in store for me. If he wants me there, then I will be there. :-)

For the next few weeks, I will be pretty busy helping the mil get ready to move. We saw an apartment that looks just like the one they will be getting. It's really nice, yet much smaller than their house. They will have to pare down a bit more, but I think that things will be just fine. This weekend while we were being shown Lewisville, we saw that there is a roller rink close to the complex. I'm excited! I'm hoping to teach the boy how to skate and he'll get to go there when he stays with the grandparents.

Currently, our next door neighbors son is teaching the boy how to ride his bicycle without training wheels. He really is the sweetest kid. Hopefully, O will learn to ride before Gammie moves. He's got about 1-2 weeks.

There is so much going on and yet I can't think of anything else, except that I have spent the last couple of weeks reading the "Little House" books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. In the last two days I've started 3 books and finished two. If you haven't read the books or even heard of them, please look them up. They are just wonderful. I hate to finish them because I feel like I'll be leaving cherished friends. Yes, I know that I am a dork. (I felt the same way after reading the Harry Potter and the Jane Austen books.)

Anyway, this has you caught up on me and my loved ones. I love you all and hope to get to "visit" you all soon.

Much love and affection, mhn for short.

I will be praying that you get well. And also for your niece and her sorrow.

I have read the books and adore them. We found that we really LIKE soccer! Hope all goes well with the move.
