I think I'm Sick

My goodness it hurts to pee. I know that's extremely personal. Just thought I'd share. I know that I have a bladder infection. Had one or two before. I caught it yesterday and started with the cranberry juice.

Usually for me one day of that and I'm good to go. Not this time. I think I may have to break down and go see the doctor. I'd go today but I am watching little Kenny-poo.

He's sleeping right now. I'll be watching him tomorrow too. Besides, I'm not about to pay the $50 for weekend "emergency" co-pay! It's bad enough that we have to pay $20 to see the doc & $25 to get the meds.

That's why I try so hard to not get sick, we can't afford it! Well that and the fact that I am allergic to 3 of the 4 major antibiotic groups. I almost died in ninth grade, but that's another story.

I had one of those infections years ago. Apparently it's quite rare in males, so they whisked me into hospital and stuck a tube up my whatsit. They found nothing. Thankfully there has been no recurrence.
Our health system is crap, but at least we don't have to worry about paying for something simple like that.

The worst sickness always happen on Friday afternoons. The same goes for air conditioners. Mine has broken three times this summer....on Saturday afternoons! Thank goodness I live in an apartment and didn't have to foot the bill.

Hope you get to feeling better! Does cranberry juice really work or is that just an old wife's tale?

OUCH! I've had a catheter when I gave birth to Owen by C-section. It hurt whgen they took it out 3 days later. Feels alot the same.

Yep, I to usually get sick for the weekend. Bullocks! Cranberry juice really does help, but you have to get the 100% cranberry juice. Dave accidentally buoght the 27%. That's why it's taking so long. The tannens in the cranberry juice help with the pain and helps to clear up any infection. That is unless you didn't realise you had one & let it go too far.

Thank God for BC Medical. I've never had to pay a doctor's bill in my life. They tried billing me for taking my daughter to another hospital (that dealt with wee uns) in the ambulance when she was born but I straightened them out. Dentist is another thing but It's still reasonable.

I know what you mean MHN we pay 290.00 per month for Health coverage and I try to keep us healthy too, b/c we have a deductible to meet and then the co-pay...we are insurance poor.

BUT if you don't have your health you dont have anything! SO,

regardless of the cost you may need to go get it checked out. I am praying for you right now.
Keep us posted! And promise, you will go soon, if it does not get better!!!

I think i'll go in on monday. I am now the proud owner of a new baby. Too bad he's not mine. :-) I watch a 9 week old baby Tuesday-Saturday, so monday will be the only day that I can go to the doc.

good luck with the doctor, I am one of those that if I get an infection, i leave it until about a years time, it resolves itself, I know, how bad is taht!?

Plus equally bad because our healthcare is pretty much free here in Ontario, so I shouldn't take that for granted.

I got an infection from the cathetar they shoved up there after my son was born. hurts liek a mother don't it?

Before then, had them constantly as a child. Lucky me.

So, yeah, don't be like me though, go get it checked out

Oh yes. I'm going in tomorrow for sure. I'm hurtin'. Church was a bear. I had to sing in both services and teach the kiddos a couple of new songs. Then after church I had a meeting with the Director of music & a bride to lock in the music for her wedding. By the time I got to the mil's to pick up the boy I was dizzy. Still am a little. I'm going to lay down in a bit, but had to talk to you guys first!! I'll keep you posted. :-)

I don't know how you can be so open about these things. Do you know that my grandparents read my blog? Yeah, I can see me posting something like this. "I have an infection today and I'm dancing in my chair as I type this....."

Of course, it was my grandma who sent me that last math joke I posted. A grandma that tells dirty jokes is definitely a treat.

Well, you know me personally Nik. I'm sure you remember that I'm pretty much open about everything. That's just how I am. Besides, my family doesn't read my blog and if they did, I'd probably still be just as open.
