American Idol Update:

Lisa Tucker is my pick for American Idol. Last year I picked Carrie Underwood and the year before I picked Diana DeGarmo and she came in second, the year before I picked Clay Aiken and he came in second also. The first year I didn't have a pick. Let's find out if I'm right.

The American Idol show gets aired in the UK - but I haven't seen any of it yet. It's compulsive viewing though, so I'm looking forward to it. :)

The first few episodes hurt my ears for the most part. I don't have perfect pitch, but my relative pitch is very good. I like to watch the whole thing to see how the singers' voices change through the process.

I'm curious to see how the "cowboy" is gonna do. So far, as for "raw talent" he's got the goods.

I have a friend who's 14 year old daughter just released a CD. She was too young to try out for this year's AI.

Also, I'm not much of a tv watcher at all but my brother got Mark and I addicted to Beauty and the Geek. It's fun and ditzy. I don't like the vote-people-off aspect because it's so different from the help-each-other attitude that prevails the other 99% of the show and its contestants.

I must say that I haven't been able to watch beauty and the geek. I really don't like most of those dating shows. I used to watch the bachelor, but it got too smutty for me.

We watched that My Big, Fat, Obnoxious Fiance because it was just atrainwreck, but stopped after that show was over.

i too often see early on, ones I would have picked leave, and ones that are talentless stay on and on, I never understand it, must be who's sleeping with who, who's paying off who, or (most likely) who has sex appeal.
